Open Die Forging

Forging department has 1000 MT two column pulldown oil hydraulic open die forging press and 6 MT rail bound manipulator. This equipment enables to forge steel parts like shafts, discs, rings etc. Akmetal is competitive in production of small series with special shapes and materials which are cast in our foundry by using our AOD converter with high quality steel. Akmetal can cast its own ingots of 2,5 Tons, 4,3 Tons, 5,5 Tons weights depending of required shape and size. All production in the forging department, starting from pouring of ingots and to forging and heat treatment processes has manufacturer approvals by 3rd parties.
